Workshop app

Setting up your workshop

Add your business details, your team, and your customers and vehicles.

A few things are worth doing before your first job. You can come back to any of them later.

Your business details

In Settings, add your business details, your time zone and your labour rates. These appear on your quotes and invoices, and are used to work out the cost of the time on a job.

Your team

There are two kinds of users:

  • Web users are the people who use the Workshop app in a browser, such as service advisers and managers. You choose what each person can access.
  • Worker app users are your technicians. Add each one with their name and mobile number, and they sign in to the Worker app on their phone.

Customers and vehicles

Add your customers, whether they're businesses or individuals, and their vehicles. Enter a vehicle's VIN and the app fills in its details for you. You can also add customers and vehicles as you create a job, so there's no need to enter everything up front.

If you have a lot of vehicles, you can upload them in one go instead of one at a time.

Getting paid by card

If you'd like customers to pay invoices by card, connect your Stripe account in Settings. Payments go straight to your own Stripe account.
