Assigning Workers to Job Cards
After creating a job card, you need to assign workers who will complete the work. This guide shows you how to assign your team members to job cards.
Before You Start
Make sure you have already:
- Created a job card
- Added workers to your system

How to Assign Workers
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Locate the Job Card you want to assign workers to:
- Go to the Sales section in the sidebar
- Click on "Orders" to see your list of job cards
- select the job card from the list
- Open the job card you want to assign workers to

Workers show their current availability status
- Look for the "Workers" column
- Click on it to see your list of available workers
- Select the workers you want to assign
- You can assign multiple workers to the same job card (learn more about assigning multiple workers)
- Click "Save" button at the bottom of the screen to complete the assignment

Click Save to confirm worker assignments
Understanding Worker Status
When selecting workers, you'll see their availability status:

Workers show their current availability status
Status indicators:
- Off Duty - Worker is not currently available
- Blank - Worker is currently available and working
Tip: You can assign workers regardless of their status. Off-duty workers will see the assignment when they come back on duty.
Assigning Multiple Workers
You can assign as many workers as needed to a single job card.

- Jobs requiring different skills or expertise
- To complete work faster
- Team collaboration on complex tasks
How it works:
- All assigned workers see the same job card
- They can work on different tasks simultaneously
- Each worker will update their portion of the work and it will be reflected in the workshop app
What Happens After Assignment?
Once you assign workers to a job card:
1. Workers get notified automatically
- They receive a notification on their Enroute Worker App
- They can see job details immediately
2. Workers can start working
- Job appears in their active jobs list
- They can view all job card with tasks inside
- They can update progress as they work
3. You can track progress
- See which workers are assigned
- Monitor work status in real-time from the workshop app
- Get updates as workers complete tasks

Reassigning or Removing Workers
Need to change who's working on a job? No problem.

You can change worker assignments anytime
How to Reassign Workers
- Open the job card
- Go to the assigned workers section
- Click the remove icon (×) next to a worker's name to remove them
- Click on the "Workers" columns again to re-assign workers
- Select new workers and hit save
Important notes:
- Any work progress is saved when you reassign
- The new worker can see all previous updates
- Removed workers no longer see the job card in their app
Quick Tips
Workers can be assigned to multiple job cards - There's no limit to how many jobs a worker can have at once.
Assignment happens instantly - Workers see the job card on their app immediately after assignment.
No special permissions needed - All workers can be assigned to any job card.
